Today, developer Asobo Studio released World Update VI for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The free patch brings noticeable visual improvements to Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. These upgrades include the following major additions:
- High-resolution scenery
- New 3D cities
- Over 100 Points of Interest
- New airports like Klagenfurt and Stuttgart
- New Bush Trips
- New Landing Challenges
- New Discovery Flights

World Update VI is quite a hefty download so be sure to give it enough time. Find the complete release notes here. Next month, the Top Gun: Maverick expansion was supposed to hit Microsoft Flight Simulator, but it"s been pushed back to May 2022 due to Paramount Picture delaying the film. The Top Gun: Maverick content will now launch in May 2022.
