Similar to how the recent Windows 11 25H2 ISOs leaked early from official Microsoft servers, a new redesigned OneDrive app has also leaked out now, courtesy of Windows Central.
The outlet notes that this is a fairly big revamp that blends Fluent Design with web elements; yes, the new OneDrive app will be a web app, but you would sort of expect that given Microsoft"s recent move towards them across several of its offerings, most famously, or rather infamously, perhaps in the case of the New Outlook for Windows app.
This is going to be a major redesign of the app following the OneDrive 3.0 update which happened almost exactly two years ago.
There is a menu up top that lets users navigate across options like Moments, Gallery, Albums, People and Favourites. The Moments feature (image above) serves various pictures and images from years past that were taken on that date, and is meant to evoke memories.
Next, the Gallery section shows all uploaded images and photos, as well as files, in one place, and users will be able to pick a time span between which the photos will be displayed.
This Gallery view also contains a rather pretty floating toolbar towards the bottom that has been styled with Windows 11"s rounder corner design. Alongside the rounded corners, you will also notice the familiar blur effects.
Users can select images and perform different functions using this toolbar like sharing, adding them to different albums, favouriting them, and more.
Aside from those, the Gallery menu also provides options to tweak and tinker with the layout, where you can choose between River, Waterfall, and Square layouts; choose between Roomy or Compact density options, and more.
If you wish to try the app out, you can download it here at this link (available as OneDriveSetup EXE file).
