Mistral AI, one of France’s leading AI companies, has just completed a Series C funding round of €1.7 billion, raising its post-money valuation to €11.7 billion. This funding round was led by the semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML Holding NV and included participation from a number of existing investors such as DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA. With this additional funding, Mistral AI will be able to accelerate technological progress with AI and maintain its independence.
