Motorola's Z2 Force gets tested for toughness with new durability tests

The Moto Z2 Force was announced late last month and was finally made available recently for sale from the Motorola website and also various carriers in the United States. While we know it can survive drops from a reasonable height, how well does the device survive a barrage of durability tests that are meant to push it to its limits?

One of the benefits of Motorola"s Z2 Force is its ShatterShield display that the firm states won"t crack or shatter. While that might be the case, the screen is very sensitive to scratches, with the display even being impacted when scratching it with fingernails. Perhaps one of the more impacting areas where things can get hairy is the front-facing camera. This camera is located and protected under the ShatterShield display, so if you happen to get a mark in that region, you will no longer be able to take selfies. According to JerryRigEverything, Motorola luckily backs the phone, offering a four-year warranty.

As far as its rigidity, it appears that the 7000 series aluminum is doing a fine job, keeping the phone in place, even when under extreme force. The display does pop out a bit during the experiment, but the phone does not buckle under the pressure.

If interested, the Moto Z2 Force is now available on Motorola"s website and should be priced at $720. The handset can also be purchased through various carriers in the United States like T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, US Cellular, and Verizon.
