New renders show off unannounced Nokia 9

It was early last month that we got to see a render of the unannounced Nokia 9. While there hasn"t been word yet on when it might come to market, it looks like a case manufacturer has leaked a few renders of the device through its listing on Amazon.

As you can see from the image above, things look similar to the previous leak, with HMD Global minimizing the borders around the left and right edges of the device. While a majority of manufacturers have gone to a nearly bezel-less design, it looks like the Nokia 9 will still have a bit of a chin on the bottom and a small border on the top of the display. Despite the design choice, it should arrive with an 18:9 display, which has become quite popular this year.

Naturally, smartphones are designed well in advance and it could be that HMD Global wanted to follow a design language which can be seen across its entire line of Android handsets. Again, there isn"t a specific date on when it will come to market, but with the year coming to a close, hopefully, it will arrive sooner rather than later.
