Ninja Theory gives a new look at Senua's Saga: Hellblade II with gameplay

Senua"s Saga: Hellblade II was announced two years ago at The Game Awards 2019 presentation, and today during the 2021 show, Ninja Theory came back with a new trailer, seen above. The footage is all captured in-game. Unfortunately, we didn"t get a release date confirmation this time either.

The trailer shows Senua going deep into a cavern with a group of warriors hunting a monstrous being as the iconic voices in her head return. There"s plenty of spear throwing, oil spilling, running, and nightmarish content seen in the footage. While called gameplay, there wasn"t much control given to the player in the trailer, though we do get to see the impressive graphics of Unreal Engine 5 that"s powering the game.

Ninja Theory is bringing Senua"s Saga: Hellblade II to Xbox Series X|S and PC, leaving behind last-gen Xbox consoles. As with other Xbox Game Studios titles, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are gaining access to the game on day one as well. The studio recently upgraded the original Hellblade to add ray tracing and other enhancements and is also working on a new horror project codenamed Mara.
