No Man's Sky now has custom-made multicrew ships and spacewalking

It has been nine years since No Man"s Sky released with its massive sci-fi universe for players to explore. Marking the occasion, developer Hello Games has brought one of its biggest updates yet to the title, adding in new Corvette-class starships, multi-crew travel, spacewalking while traveling, skydiving, and more highly requested features.

Starting off with the biggest addition, players will gain access to the new Corvette-class starship who has progressed to at least the mid-game of the space experience. Unlike other crafts, this is a ship that can be assembled piece by piece, letting players add "every section of hull, every wing and peripheral, every internal corridor and bunk bed" manually.

"Visit the Corvette Workshop aboard Space Stations to design the silhouette, hull, and peripherals of a Corvette-class starship," explains the developer. "Pan and rotate the camera freely in a new ergonomic building mode to place and paint each individual hull plate and connector."

The interior spaces of these ships are also fully navigable on foot while they are in travel, letting players even invite their friends over for multicrew sessions across space. Its doors can be opened for some space walks and transfers to other ships for the first time too, finally letting players experience space from outside of a ship in their suits. Check out the new gameplay trailer below that showcases some of these new gameplay additions.

Instead of going through the campaign to gain access to the Corvette, players can also go through the brand-new Expedition, before it expires, to gain access to it directly.

Moreover, DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation is now available for latest-generation Nvidia RTX graphics card owners. PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) has also landed for PlayStation 5 players.

No Man"s Sky Voyagers update is now available across PC (Steam and Xbox app), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 systems. Find the patch notes here.
