Nvidia GeForce graphics users have a brand-new driver they can install. The latest update from the company is the WHQL-certified 581.29 Game Ready driver, and it looks like adding support for two new games is the primary objective, as there is only a single bug fix included in it.
Borderlands 4 is releasing in just a couple of days on September 12. Thanks to this driver update, players with hardware from the green team will be able to enable DLSS 4 for better upscaling as well as Multi Frame Generation for up to five times more AI-boosted frames, according to the company. Nvidia Reflex is included in the package too.
Don"t forget that Nvidia is also bundling Borderlands 4 with its RTX 50 series graphics cards and laptops until September 22, which includes the base game as well as the Gilded Glory Pack for no extra charge.
Next, Dying Light: The Beast is launching on September 19, and it too boasts DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation tech for gaining better frame rates, as seen in the comparison video below.
Exactly one bug fix is included in this driver release, which should resolve a performance issue on Marvel Rivals:
- Marvel Rivals: Negative performance impact when using some 581.xx drivers
Here are the known issues the driver team is working on fixing:
- Counter-Strike 2: Text may appear slightly distorted when in-game resolution is lower than the native resolution of the display
- Adobe Premiere Pro: Some system configurations can freeze during export using hardware encoding
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Light flickering after driver update on some system configurations
The Nvidia 581.29 driver is now available for download in the Nvidia app and GeForce Experience. Standalone download links can be found here, and here are the official release notes (PDF).
