Nvidia has a brand-new driver ready and waiting for GeForce graphics users. While the WHQL-certified 591.59 Game Ready driver doesn"t carry any specific game optimizations like usual releases, the driver does bring in some useful bug fixes related to games, HDR, and others.
On the game-related bugs side, Assassin"s Creed Valhalla"s HDR toggle should now function when smooth motion is enabled. Dying Light: The Beast had seen some stability issues with the 591.44 driver from earlier this month, which should now be fixed. Meanwhile, Nvidia says that RTX 50 series stability issues with the survival game Enshrouded have been fixed in this release too.
Nvidia graphics users may also have noticed faded display colors when apps and games switched to a non-native resolution. This driver is carrying a fix for that while also resolving a black screen issue that came up when using RTX HDR on some TVs.
Here are all the fixed issues in this release:
- Fixed Gaming Bugs
- Enshrouded: Game stability issues on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: HDR toggle not functional when Smooth Motion is enabled
- Dying Light: The Beast: Game stability issues after updating to 591.44 driver
- Fixed General Bugs
- Display color seems faded after switching to non-native resolution
- Using RTX HDR on select televisions causes games to blackscreen
There is a single known issue listed for this driver:
- Unable to deselect "Show Notification Tray Icon" from NVIDIA Control Panel
The Nvidia 591.59 driver is now available for download in the Nvidia app and GeForce Experience. Standalone download links can be found here, and here are the official release notes (PDF).
