PowerArchiver 2002 8.0 Release Candidate 1

Thanks Byte for the heads up on this release. PowerArchiver features full built-in support for creating and adding files to ZIP (+JavaARhiver, +Quake"s III PK3), CAB, LHA (LZH), BH (BlakHole), TAR and TAR.GZ archives, plus built-in support for reading and extracting many other formats: RAR, ARJ, ARC, ACE, ZOO, GZip, as well as XXE and UUE Internet encoded files.

This program is equipped with a tool for converting between file formats (for example ZIP

archive to CAB archive, CAB archive to LHA archive), a tool for writing and reading ZIP spanned archives, and a tool for detecting archive format. You can also print a file list to a printer, or export a file list to HTML and TXT files.

PowerArchiver features two modes of viewing archive: Classic style - all files in the same listing; or Explorer style - browsing through archive like through folders in Windows Explorer. It offers a great user interface with new Windows 2000 style toolbars, forms, buttons; and it gives you the choice of a double-click or a single-click interface. You can also have "Favorite Folders" for faster finding of your archives, selecting files in an archive by date, size, name, etc
