Microsoft has another round of games for Xbox players to try out over the weekend, as the latest Free Play Days promotion has just kicked off. The newest edition is a little light on games compared to previous weeks, with only two games available. However, only one of them requires a Game Pass subscription, while the other one is open for anyone to jump into.
From the duo, Rubber Bandits is landing for multiplayer party game fans. The Flashbulb-developed title offers chaotic multiplayer battles where the strategy is described as "grab something and swing it." There"s loot to steal, friends to bonk, and opponents to fling during its heisting arenas.
Keep in mind that this needs an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential plan subscription to play.
Even without a subscription, you can jump into Train Sim World 6 this weekend. This realistic train-driving-focused simulator from Dovetail Games lets you master trains across three routes and three modes (free roam, conductor mode, and creator"s club) with random events, train faults, and passenger operations. There"s even a Thomas the Tank Engine crossover happening now, too.
As always, any progress made during the weekend also carries over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward.
Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on:
- Rubber Bandits (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
- Train Sim World 6: Thomas & Friends Edition (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC)
To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, then in the sidebar, see the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area.
Both games of this week"s Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, March 29, at 11:59 pm PT.
