Samsung announces the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force

Samsung has announced the Notebook 7,available in 13-inch and 15-inch models, as well as the Notebook 7 Force. The Notebook 7 is aimed at everyday users and features a near bezel-less display and diamond-cut edges, while the Notebook 7 Force is more powerful with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card and expandable storage; Samsung has aimed the latter device at creators and gamers.

Discussing the new notebooks, YoungGyoo Choi, Senior Vice President of PC Business Team, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, said:

The specifications of the Notebook 7 Force are as follows:

Aside from the nearly bezel-less display on the Notebook 7 and the solid metal frame on the Notebook 7 Force, the new devices come with a re-engineered Lattice keyboard and an ultra-wide Precision Touchpad which Samsung says allows you to “effortlessly navigate and multitask with laser accuracy”. Additionally, the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force include fingerprint scanners which allow you to log in to the device without the need for passwords.

The notebooks will arrive in Korea, Hong Kong, and Mainland China initially before arriving in the U.S. and Brazil later in the year. In the U.S., the Notebook 7 will start from $999.99, while the Notebook 7 Force will start from $1499.99. The device will go on sale from July 26 on Amazon and Samsung.com, and will be available for pre-order from Samsung.com from July 12.
