Samsung Galaxy A12 will be available for purchase in India from February 17

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A12 in the UK last month along with the Galaxy A32 5G and Galaxy A02s after unveiling the phone in Singapore earlier in January. Today, the company announced that the budget device is coming to India as well.

The entry-level device will be available to purchase starting on February 17 in two memory configurations, unlike its Singapore version that can only be purchased in one variant. The 4GB/64GB variant will cost ₹12,999 (approximately $178) while the 4GB/128GB variant is priced at ₹13,999 (approximately $192).

You can purchase the Galaxy A12 from Samsung"s partner retail stores and its own online marketplace as well as via other major e-commerce stores. The phone will also be up for grabs via several financing plans with no upfront cost. For Reliance Jio customers, their Galaxy A12 purchase can get them up to ₹7,000 of benefits including a ₹3,000 cashback on ₹349 prepaid recharge and vouchers worth ₹4,000. Vi customers can get twice the data benefits on ₹299 recharges for three months.

As a quick recap, the device is powered by a Mediatek Helio P35 SoC and it runs Android 10 with One UI Core 2.5. It sports a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with an 8MP selfie camera. At its back, there"s a quad-camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.

The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung noted that the phone"s Indian launch marks the debut of the first Galaxy A handset in the country so far this year, following the Indian launch of the Galaxy M02 earlier this month.
