Samsung Galaxy S26 series's release most likely pushed to March 2026

It appears there is more bad news for the next year"s flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S26 series. Firstly, it has been heavily rumored that Samsung is done with its slim phone project and has abandoned the "Edge" series. Meaning there will be no Galaxy S26 Edge next year, reportedly.

Then it has been tipped that due to recent increases in component costs, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will get a price hike. Rumors were circulating on the internet suggesting that the Galaxy S26 series launch might be postponed by several weeks, and now, we might have a purported date on our hands.

Not a date written in stone, but according to a Samsung official (via ETNews), Samsung could release the Galaxy S26 series in March 2026. A Samsung Electronics official said:

The somewhat delayed product planning affected the launch. Since we are still in the pre-mass production stage, the final schedule has not been finalized.

The report further adds that while the launch event will take place on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, USA, the release will happen in the first week of March. If true, this will be the first time in five years, a flagship Samsung series will be released in March.

The release adjustment could be the result of a sudden change in the lineup. Previously, the Galaxy S26 lineup was tipped to include the "Edge" model. However, with Samsung choosing not to make another "Edge" phone, the "Plus" model could be making a comeback to the lineup, the mass production of which would might also be resulting in a delay.

It would be interesting to see how Samsung manages its other phone releases, such as the foldables, and the much-awaited Galaxy triple-folding phone.
