Samsung has expanded its ViewFinity S8 monitor lineup with the introduction of a 37-inch model (S80UD), positioned between the existing 32- and 43-inch options. The display offers a 16:9 aspect ratio and UHD resolution, providing a larger workspace that improves text readability and overall visibility compared with the 32-inch model.
The monitor has been certified by TÜV Rheinland as an Ergonomic Workspace Display, recognising its design for reduced visual fatigue during extended tasks such as document editing or video work. Furthermore, it also features TÜV-certified Intelligent Eye Care technology, which minimises blue light and screen flicker to reduce eye strain. The 37-inch size allows users to manage multiple documents or videos simultaneously and makes detail-oriented tasks easier.
The display supports multitasking with features such as a built-in keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) switch, picture-by-picture (PBP), and picture-in-picture (PIP) modes. These allow users to control two devices at once or display content from multiple sources side by side. When it comes to the connectivity options, the monitor includes a USB-C port and built-in LAN port, providing 90W charging, data transfer, and Ethernet connectivity.
Assembly is designed to be simple as well, taking "about 10 seconds, even by users with little experience" with the Easy Setup Stand, which requires no tools. Moreover, the monitor also features a height-adjustable stand with tilt and swivel functions to support ergonomic viewing.
Samsung is also applying the 37-inch form factor to gaming with the launch of the new Odyssey G7 (G75F) at Gamescom 2025, the world’s largest gaming event. The G7 features a 1000R curved 4K UHD display, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms (GTG) response time. Samsung positions the new ViewFinity S8 and Odyssey G7 as solutions for both professional and gaming environments, combining larger screens with features aimed at productivity, comfort, and immersive experiences.
