Snapchat's Bot arrives in Big Sur, offering a new chance at obtaining Spectacles

If you"ve been clamoring to get your hands on Snap Inc"s Spectacles, the chance has arrived once again, as the "Bot" vending machine has touched down in Central California.

The vending machine which first arrived in Southern California late last week has now traveled north to Big Sur. If unfamiliar, Spectacles are Snap Inc"s first hardware piece that interfaces with Snapchat. The glasses can record clips that are ten seconds in length and can then be uploaded to the video-sharing platform. Perhaps what makes the glasses unique is its ability to capture circular videos.

The Spectacles are currently only being offered through the vending machine which pops up at random locations. Although the frequency is unknown, the Spectacles website does offer a 24-hour notice prior to a new location being unveiled. While it is possible to purchase them from auction sites like eBay, the price is a bit harder to swallow than the standard $129.99, with some pairs selling for as high as $2300. Naturally, this is only the start and the vending machine will continue to make its way around the country.
