Spotify has rolled out a new update across all platforms. The new update brings a highly anticipated change that now lets users pin up to 20 items at the top of Your Library.

Looks like Spotify is listening to the community feedback, at least to some degree. The company is still facing severe criticism for its support of AI music on the platform, but at least it gives something back to people. Even if a change seems unremarkable at first.

One of the most requested Spotify updates is here.
Starting today, you can pin up to 20 favorites at the top of Your Library ๐Ÿ“Œ
Here"s why we made it and how it works ๐Ÿงต

Before the update, the limit of items you could pin to the top of Your Library was only four. Once it lands on your account, you"ll be able to pin playlists, albums, artists, podcasts, audiobooks, and creators. That"s a wider net than before, since pinning was capped at four across everything you might want quick access to.

For anyone juggling a daily podcast, a workout playlist, an audiobook, and a handful of favorite artists, that ran out fast. That changes now, as you have plenty of room to combine and pin your favorite content to the top of the libarary.

Here"s how to pin an item to the top of your Spotify library:

  1. Press and hold any item in Your Library.
  2. Tap Pin.
  3. It"ll stay right at the top for easy access.

This change seems small enough at first. But judging by the number of requests Spotify received over the years, as well as people"s overwhelming approval on the announcement post, it looks like this update is long overdue.

This update is rolling out globally, and is available to users on both Free and Premium plans.
