Paradox Interactive announced that it is partnering with Haemimont Games again back in August. The duo revealed that a remaster of the 2017-released sci-fi colony builder Surviving Mars is in development complete with new content. Today, a release date was attached to the project, with Surviving Mars: Relaunched officially landing on November 10, 2025.
The release will include every piece of DLC released for the original game, including gameplay expansions and cosmetic content. The developer is touting improvements and reworks to the mechanics seen in the title too, including Trains, the Underground, the UI, and other areas. An entirely new feature titled Martian Assembly is being implemented into the base game too, adding in-game political mechanics.
At the same time, Paradox announced an Ultimate Edition that will come with a new Mission Sponsor.
""Interplanetary Codex," an organization that has already set its sights not just on colonizing Mars, but organizing it and preparing for its political future," explains the company. "A unique Law Office building is available to this sponsor along with tools to manage diplomatic relationships with Earth - and funding, so long as you have the approval of colony factions."
The Relaunched edition is slated to receive even more new content too. Confirmed post-launch additions include the Feeding the Future and Machine Utopia expansions, which focus on expanded food and production systems as well as mechanized labor and bigger industrial options, respectively.
Surviving Mars: Relaunched is releasing on November 10 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The Standard Edition has a $39.99 price tag, while the Ultimate Edition will cost $59.99. However, keep in mind that the owners of the original Surviving Mars are receiving a $20 discount when purchasing the new editions.
