The AI-powered version of Google Finance got a major expansion

Google Finance is getting a major expansion this month. The search giant announced that the AI-powered revamp of the financial market insights platform is rolling out to over 100 countries worldwide over the coming weeks, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and others.

It"s been months since Google has been talking about the new Google Finance and the AI capabilities it brings to the table. The search giant started testing the new experience in August last year, for Search Labs users based in the US.

Looking back a few pages in Google history, it was in 2020 when the company pushed a major redesign of Google Finance on desktop and mobile. Last year, Google also updated AI Mode to support data visualizations and graphs for finance-related queries.

For starters, you can ask detailed financial questions to get comprehensive answers from the AI, access advanced charting tools, and see a live news feed of the latest market information and data for commodities and cryptocurrencies. Google Finance was updated with more features in November last year and rolled out for testing in India with support for English and Hindi.

Google Finance got the Deep Search feature, which delivers even more thorough AI responses to your financial queries. The feature uses Gemini models to perform hundreds of simultaneous searches and reason across disparate sources to generate a comprehensive response.

You can explore prediction markets data from sources, including Kalshi and Polymarket, by asking questions about future market events. For instance, you can ask "What will GDP growth be for 2026?" to see current possibilities and how they change over time.

The new Google Finance also lets you keep an eye on corporate earnings calls with live audio, synchronized transcripts, and AI-powered insights. There is a new Earnings tab that shows when the next call is scheduled, and an "At a glance" section that updates before, during, and after the call to show key insights.

Note that the AI-powered version of Google Finance is still in beta, and you can switch to the classic version using a button in the top-right corner of the interface. Google added in its announcement post that it offers full local language support to easily track markets across all supported regions as the feature rolls out.
