The Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, Band 2, and new Lumias are now on display in Microsoft stores

We just saw Microsoft release the Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, Microsoft Band 2, Lumia 950, and 950XL at an exciting press event in New York City. While pre-orders have been available since announcement day, many of you may be waiting to get your own hands on these devices before you pull the trigger on that order.

If you live in the United States or Canada, starting today you can go to many of the stores and see all of these new products. We visited the NorthPark store in Dallas, Texas which had the all the devices except the Lumia 950 on display. You can see pictures of the displays in the gallery below.

It"s worth mentioning that this store was also offering pre-orders for the Lumia 950XL for an unknown launch date in November while it"s still listed as "coming soon" on the Microsoft Store website. Additionally, we were informed that while the usual 10% education discount for students and faculty isn"t available for online preorders, if you preorder in store you will be able to apply it to all of the items. Keep in mind that the discount won"t apply to the Microsoft Complete warrantees - only hardware. Finally, it looks like many stores will be having launch parties for the devices. At this particular location the launch date of the Surface Book will also coincide with a special Halo 5 launch party starting at 9 PM on October 26th, so definitely give your local store a call to find out more!

We spoke to a retail support agent, who warned us that not all stores will have all of these new devices on display. So it would be wise to drop them a line before you make the trip, especially if it"s a decent drive away. If you don"t have a store near you we have got your covered. Our own Andy Weir was in New York City for the October 6th event and has hands-on articles for all of the recently announced products which you can find below:
