The Windows Feedback app will remain a part of Windows 10 after RTM

We are now in the final stretch before Windows 10 is officially released July 29th. With the date quickly approaching, Microsoft has gotten busy polishing and putting the final touches on Windows 10. Of these final touches and inclusions, we have learned through Microsoft"s Gabe Aul that the Windows Feedback app will be present in Windows 10 after it goes RTM.

This is fantastic news for users as there will continue to be a forum by which they can voice their ideas and any problems they may be facing. This is also good for Microsoft since they will continue to have an influx of feedback from its projected one billion Windows 10 users. The inclusion of the Feedback App will allow them to build out and deploy features that all those new users want.

In addition to the app, Microsoft has included "smiley face" icons in many of the new apps (usually located in the navigation column or top right corner). Upon clicking the icon, the user will be taken directly to the feedback app and the specific section corresponding to the app they were just using. These inclusions come in addition to the UserVoice pages Microsoft has been opening for many of its products (see Cortana and Xbox Music). Although, typically after an app exits the preview stage, these smiley faces do go away.

Without a doubt, the Windows Feedback app will be a welcomed addition to the plethora of new apps. Windows 10 will be available as a free upgrade at the very end of next month and if you are on Windows 7 or 8 you can reserve your copy now.
