These Sony, Samsung 2.1 wireless subwoofer soundbars are great for your PC and TV

Bluetooth speakers are popular among the masses as they are great for portability. The Marshall Acton III is such an option that is currently still up for sale at just $200, making it a really good deal.

The one drawback of most such Bluetooth speakers is that they lack frequencies mid-bass and below. In that case, you need a subwoofer or a large bookshelf. A soundbar system with a wireless subwoofer can be something to consider in scenarios like this. While you do lose the portability, you get much better reproduction of lower frequencies.

So if you are out there shopping for such a system take a look at Sony HT-S400 and Samsung HW-B550F which are currently available for their lowest prices (purchase links down below).

First up, we have the Sony HT-S400 which promises 330 watts of total audio power output, although the Japanese tech giant does not disclose the exact power division between the sub and the soundbar. Sony does say that the woofer is based on a 6.3-inch driver unit

In terms of connectivity, the S400 packs HDMI (supports ARC output) and Optical (TOSLINK) input as well as Bluetooth 5.0 (SBC) receiver.

Up next, we have the Samsung HW-B550F which is similarly specced as the S400 though it has Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 5.0, and promises higher audio power output of 410 watts. The B550F does however support USB music playback. Neither have Wi-Fi support.
