The Epic Games Store"s weekly freebie offer has been refreshed again. The massive triple giveaway from last week that contained Zero Hour, Songs of Silence, and ScourgeBringer for PC gamers has now come to an end. To replace it, the store has now begun a giveaway for Zoeti, an indie title that was released in 2023 and developed by Dusklight.
The indie game lands as a turn-based roguelike that utilizes a deck of playing cards for ability combos and skills. In battle, poker combinations like pairs, straights, flushes, full houses, and royal flushes are what determine the power of the ability in use, whether it"s attacking or defending. Each encounter requires managing your deck and choosing the right combinations to counter enemies.
Players can choose from a trio of characters and five difficulty modes before jumping into a run, changing up what builds they make and enemies they encounter. Different skills are earned throughout each adventure, too, either from combat, quests, or locals that players meet on their runs.
"You"ll need to crack open the enemy"s defenses and bolster your grit and resolve, all while outsmarting the underhanded foes you face," says the developer, describing the combat decision-making. "Use your deck of playing cards to activate skills, attack foes, and defend yourself with card combinations, such as two pair, a full house, or a straight flush. Through battle, discovery, and clever decision-making, you"ll upgrade and enhance your build to complete the toughest challenges Zoeti has to offer."
The Zoeti giveaway on the Epic Games Store is live right now, and it will last until November 27. PC gamers can add the title to their library for no cost during the seven-day timeframe before the next freebies arrive.
