Twitter experiencing outages, company says it's working on a fix

Microblogging site Twitter has been experiencing issues since early today. The firm has informed users that both Twitter and verified third-party clients such as TweetDeck are down. Users will probably face issues with Tweeting, receiving notifications or accessing their direct messages (DMs)

We"ve been experiencing outages across Twitter and TweetDeck. You might have had trouble Tweeting, getting notifications, or viewing DMs. We"re currently working on a fix, and should be back to normal soon.

The tweet went out a few hours ago and the company says that it is working on a fix to get the service back up and running soon. However, replies on the official tweet from users suggest that the issues seem to be persistant - at the time of writing.

@TweetenApp I am getting a login to tweeten loop, everytime I complete 2FA I am required to login again.

In addition to the issues listed by the company, users are also experiencing issues with logging in. There are reports of users entering a login loop when trying to log into Tweeten. Additionally, the firm tweeted yesterday notifying users of another issue where there were problems with displaying new follower counts in the Twitter Analytics dashboard (analytics.twitter.com).

There are currently no updates from the company as to when the issues will be fixed, but if you are experiences troubles with Twitter or other third-party clients, it’s best to stay put and hope for a fix sooner rather than later.
