Microsoft has made the ISOs for the Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 Release Candidate available for download, while the web installers will be coming out in a few days.
It has been just over three months since the launch of Visual Studio 2015 and Microsoft is already close to delivering the first update for the product. The Update 1 release candidate can now be downloaded from MSDN.
The update brings new features and enhancements to the following modules:
- Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova
- Visual Studio Tools for Universal Windows Apps
- Visual C++
- Visual C#
- Debugging and Diagnostics
- TypeScript
- Node.js Tools for Visual Studio
- Miscellaneous
Other changes:
In addition to the Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 RC, Microsoft has also made available the Team Foundation Server Update 2 RC for download.
It is recommended that users who need Visual Studio Emulator for Android and Microsoft Test Manager skip the Update 1 RC, as there are issues in acquiring licenses for these tools in this version.
