WebGuide 4.015 Update Released

Are you ready for Vista? WebGuide is!

WebGuide offers real-time streaming of recorded and live television; an online guide for program scheduling; and access to your library of music, pictures and videos. And now, WebGuide offers "remote control" capabilities! You have full control of Media Center with WebGuide"s web-based remote-control, and you also have the ability to "play on TV." All of this is available from a normal web browser or a mobile device – you can even stream live TV on Windows Mobile devices. With WebGuide, you are only a few clicks away from live television and your entire media library.

The latest update (4.015) features a host of fixes and improvements.

Here are the highlights:

- Added remote control function to media pages – "play on TV" (Vista)
- Added virtual remote control popup (Vista)
- Added virtual remote control to mobile pages (Vista)
- Added new user permission role for "remote control" functionality. (Vista)
- Fixed Recorded TV thumbnails (Vista)
- Added Recorded TV thumbnails to RSS feed (Vista)
- Added checkbox to launch TV stream directly into WMP
- Integrated new build of Cassini. Adds stability and support for Vista X64.
- Updates for Vista x64 directory permissions
- Improved some IIS configuration settings (runs "ASPNET_REGIIS -i" and attempts to set correct directory permissions on app_Data folder)
- Fixed streaming HD from Firewire cable-box via "FireSTB". Audio channel on pin 2.
- Added "sports" and "movies" category lists from guide.
- Added "system info" popup to "about" page. Useful for debugging system permission issues.
- Added ability to auto-login as a user. The link is on the "system info" popup on the about page.
- Added checks for "protected content"
- Added unregister/register COM+ DLL to help fix music library permission errors
- Hooked up missing translations in mobile pages.
- Updated many text strings for translation.
- Added permission checks to mobile homepage
- Added "advanced" page to edit all settings in the "settings.xml" file.
