Weekend PC Game Deals: Civilization and Tycoon collections, Batman sales, and more

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

The Epic Games Store delivered its freebie for PC gamers as usual this week, and this time, it was a comedic game.

Rustler - Grand Theft Horse is a parody of classic action games like the original top-down GTA entries. Playing as a medieval thug, you get to go through bizarre questlines, drift with horse carts, get towed for parking in "no horse zones," engage in cage-fighting tournaments, and dig up dinosaur skeletons. There are even radio bards to punch for changing music (stations).

The latest giveaway is coming to an end on January 29. On the same day, Definitely Not Fried Chicken is becoming the next freebie.

The Humble Store"s latest bundles are focused on giving large chunks of popular franchises. Up first is the RollerCoaster Tycoon Collection, which carries the classic trilogy, a remaster, and the 3D entry from 2016 into a single bundle for $10.

Next, the Sid Meier Collection lands with 13 games from the strategy and tactical game designer, including Civilization III through VI, Civilization Beyond Earth, Starships, Railroads, Pirates, Pacific Skies, and Ace Patrol, all for $15.

Lastly, the Just Cause Complete Collection comes with the original Just Cause, 2, 3, and 4 Reloaded with a $12 price tag. Also included are over 30 pieces of DLC for the titles, including all expansions.

Free Events

There are three games having free weekend promotions on PC right now.

Ubisoft has kicked off a free event for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the title set in the James Cameron movie universe. This promotion lets you jump into the open-world action game and spend five hours in it without restrictions.

Up next is No Rest for the Wicked. This action RPG with Souls-like combat lands from the studio behind the Ori series, and it just received co-op play too.

Lastly, FBC: Firebreak is here for first-person co-op action fans. The title is set in Remedy"s supernatural universe that includes Control and Alan Wake.

Big Deals

There are discounts from Rockstar, the DC universe, and so much more to peruse this weekend. With all those and more, here are our hand-picked big deals for the weekend:

DRM-free Specials

The GOG store has just kicked off its New Year Sale, bringing thousands of discounts to DRM-free titles. Here are some highlights:

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals could vary depending on the region.

That"s it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to keep adding to your ever-growing backlogs.

As always, there are an enormous number of other deals ready and waiting all over the interwebs, as well as on services you may already subscribe to if you comb through them, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend.
