World's first 1040Hz and 6K 3D Odyssey gaming monitors unveiled by Samsung

Samsung has unveiled its freshly baked lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors ahead of CES 2026, featuring five new models. The 27-inch Odessey G6 (G60H) stands out in the crowd as it"s the world"s first 1,040Hz gaming monitor, according to the company.

Odessey G6 comes with a 2,560 x 1,440 QHD IPS display, clubbed with a 600Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, AMD Freesync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-Sync, and HDR10+. The catch here is that the 1,040Hz refresh works at HD resolution in Dual Mode.

Another world"s first from the South Korean giant is the 32-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XH), a 6K glasses-free 3D gaming monitor. There have been 6K and 3D monitors in the past, but Samsung has combined the two technologies into one product. It comes with a 165Hz refresh rate, which can shoot up to 330Hz in Dual Mode 3K.

You don"t need a headset to use Odyssey 3D; the monitor uses real-time eye tracking to adjust depth and perspective, creating a layered sense of dimension during gameplay. Several titles, including The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture, and Stellar Blade, "will offer added dimensionality that enhances terrain, distance and object separation beyond standard 2D gameplay," Samsung said.

Apart from these, Samsung has announced three new variants of the Odyssey G8 gaming monitor. Odyssey G8 G80HS comes with a 32-inch 6K (6,144 x 3,456) IPS panel and a 165Hz refresh rate (330Hz in Dual Mode 3K). Odyssey G8 G80HF comes with a 27-inch 5K (5,120 x 2,880) IPS panel with 180Hz refresh rate (380Hz in Dual Mode QHD).

Samsung is also offering an OLED variant of the Odyssey G8. G80SH features a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) QD-OLED display for deeper blacks, paired with a 240Hz refresh rate, VESA DisplayHDRâ„¢ True Black 500 certification, and DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) to achieve 80Gbps bandwidth.

The company has not spilled any beans on pricing details for any of the new Odyssey monitors yet. The Odyssey 2026 lineup will be showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6.
