Popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter) appears to be down right now across most, if not all, regions. Reports are flooding in from various social media platforms that X is inaccessible across desktop and mobile devices. On our side, we are getting an error 503 when we try to access the old Twitter URL too which usually redirects to X.com. In layman terms, this HTTP error code translates to the web server being unavailable to handle requests.
The reason for the latest outage is currently unknown, but we will update this piece when we have more news.
Update: It seems like after an outage of roughly one hour, X is now back. There is no word yet on what caused the issue as the official @X handle is silent on the topic for now too. We"ll let you know if we hear more.
