The Free Play Days promotion is back, letting Xbox players try out even more games over the weekend. This offer isn"t packed with games like in recent weeks, with only two titles available. It"s the open-world survival shooter Deadside and the digital version of the Catan board game that"s live this time.
Both games from the Free Play Days weekend require an Xbox Game Pass membership to jump in, be it Ultimate, Premium, or Essential.
From the duo, Deadside is a survival shooter set in a post-apocalyptic open-world environment, where players must gather resources, build bases, and battle against AI enemies that patrol the map. Both PVE and PVP servers are available, letting players decide how hardcore of an experience they want to jump into.
Next, straight from the classic board game Catan, this digital edition brings the same strategy, resource management, and negotiation strategies. The title can be played in multiplayer locally and online, while solo play is also available against AI opponents.
"See each tile come to life as you grow your settlements and take over the board. Gather ore from towering mountains, collect wool from bustling pastures, or harvest lumber from thriving forests," reads the store page describing the setting. "No two games are the same, with variables boards each game will feel, look, and play different!"
As always, any progress and achievements earned during the weekend also carry over automatically if you decide to purchase a game afterward. All of them are currently on sale on the Microsoft Store as well. Below are all the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on:
- CATAN – Console Edition (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)
- Deadside (Xbox Series X|S)
To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area.
Both of this week"s Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, April 10, at 11:59 pm PT.
