Gamescom, the next major gaming event of the year, is only a few weeks away, and Microsoft today revealed its plans for the Cologne, Germany-set physical and digital showcases. The company will have a packed booth for the four-day-long event, offering hands-on opportunities for fans featuring games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Borderlands 4, and many others. Microsoft"s upcoming Xbox handhelds will be present at the event too.
The booth will offer fans access to over 120 gaming stations. From the first-party Xbox lineup, Grounded 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Age of Empires series, Age of Mythology: Retold, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be playable. The company has teased some surprises for the event too.
Moreover, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X will both be offered to try out games. A theater presentation for The Outer Worlds 2 is also confirmed so far.
As for games from third-party publishers and indie developers, here are the confirmed appearances at the Xbox booth, with the new Hollow Knight being the biggest draw:

The Xbox booth will be present at Hall 7 of the Koelnmesse, North entrance, from Thursday, August 21, through Sunday, August 24. It will also be fully wheelchair accessible, with adjustable-height desks and Xbox Adaptive Controllers also being available.
As for those joining digitally, Microsoft has a Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 complete reveal and a new World of Warcraft expansion cinematic planned for Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase on August 19. Livestreams from the Xbox booth showcasing hardware, games, and development teams will also be running on August 20 and 21.
