Windows 7 and especially Windows Vista are things of the past for most PC users. Microsoft stopped updating these operating system long time ago, and security issues aside, using them on a daily basis is quite a challenge, considering that mainstream software no longer supports pre-Windows 10 releases. However, there are still people out there running Windows 7 and Vista on their devices, and if you need to install one of these two legendary operating systems, you can now download images that include every possible update for the truly ultimate experience.
Bob Pony, a known enthusiast in the Windows community, prepared Windows 7 and Vista images that come with security patches all the way to January 2026. This month, Microsoft released the final security update for Windows Vista, which was still getting security updates via Premium Assurance, ending essentially a nearly 7000-day run. Now, all those updates are included in a single ISO that you can burn to a USB or DVD (if you like doing things the old-fashioned way).
Here"s Windows Vista ISOs (x86 and x64) with all of the security updates installed including last updates released via Premium Assurance up to January 2026.

The same thing is available for Windows 7, arguably one of the best modern Windows releases in the history of Microsoft:

Although these images include a lot of patches and security updates, it is still worth mentioning that running Windows 7 and Vista on your main machine is a bad idea. But if you want to experiment with stuff that predates Windows 8 or make a retro build, these upgraded images will certainly come in handy.
