Popular YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson (Mr. Beast) is reportedly gearing up to launch his own phone company.
This report comes thanks to Business Insider (BI), which says it viewed a leaked investor deck from early 2025 detailing the plan. According to the deck seen by the outlet, the project could launch sometime next year. A person close to Mr. Beast"s company noted that while the project is real, it is not an immediate priority.
According to BI, the venture will be a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). Basically, these are companies that provide branded mobile service without owning any physical network infrastructure. Instead, they lease network access from one of the big carriers, such as T-Mobile or Verizon, and resell it to their customers under their own name.
Mr. Beast would not be the first major public figure to enter this space, which seems to be getting crowded with celebrity-backed services. For example, Mint Mobile, the MVNO famously co-owned by Ryan Reynolds, was sold to T-Mobile in 2023 for a whopping sum valued at up to $1.35 billion.
We have even seen President Donald Trump get into the mobile game with the announcement of the T1 Mobile service and a gold-colored smartphone. T1"s flagship offering is "The 47 Plan," priced at $47.45 per month, which includes unlimited talk, text, and data. It also throws in extras like 24/7 roadside assistance and telehealth services.
The Mr. Beast brand is a powerhouse that has expanded way beyond YouTube. So far, Jimmy Donaldson has been able to replicate his success beyond his YouTube channel with ventures like Feastables, a chocolate bar brand that generated an impressive $251 million in sales last year, with over $20 million in profit.
He also partnered with Amazon MGM Studios for the game show Beast Games on Amazon Prime Video, a massive production that offered a grand prize of around $5 million.
