xbamaris
So apparently the internet Facebook is blowing up about how Time Warner Cable Internet is down.... The issue is related to the DNS servers and works fine upon switching.... But its quite sad how many people are freaking out over it... It was having issues for maybe a half hour because I'm back on Time Warner Cables DNS servers without any issues (switched to Googles temporarily) http://downdetector.com/status/time-warner-cable
TAZMINATOR
I don't have any issues on my end. No downtime. Must be on some regions that had downtime....
DeusProto
I never use ISP issued DNS servers. They often are inferior to Google's and other third party DNS servers in terms of getting new IPs for domain names when a domain's DNS entries have changed. Some will redirect you to a webpage full of ads if it is unable to lookup a hostname when navigating to it in a web browser, etc. I use TWC but haven't noticed, but then again its been years since I've used TWC's DNS servers.
