Why possible to ignore signatures but not avatar images?

That is simply how IPB Comes. It is a default feature. Neowin are coding their own forum software however and i'm sure they will be open to feature suggestions.

They are making their own??

This is truer than ever. There is one in particular that has plastered his ugly mugshot in his avatar and things everyone wants to look at his ugly bottom, err sorry, face.

It's not Neobond. :)

But what you say demonstrates why this is needed. Liking an avatar is very subjective. One may not like this bloak's face, while another might not want to see that animal there or that derp face in mine. Give us the option to hide them for specific users.

person is always active in the 8 forums I assume

I think avatars make the overall website look better as they're used in a lot more places, not just in threads. That's the only reason why I have one - for ages I had no avatar.

Though I would agree that annoying/tasteless avatars should be forbidden. :p A lot of websites explicitly ban all animated avatars, just by not allowing .gif filetypes,

Could you give us an example?

Doesn't seem to work for me atm, but you could just right click the image and choose adblock plus image > custom

EDIT -Still works but you have to hover over the members name and right click the avatar from the popup

Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
