5 mn Galaxy Note 2s sold in less than 2 months

so much for 5 inch is too big, who would buy it. etc etc.

We reported earlier in November that just over a month after its launch, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 had sold over 3 million units worldwide. Now just a few weeks later that number has jumped up to 5 million sales worldwide, according to Samsung. It's a pretty great rate of sales, and we're sure that those will only continue to increase as the holiday buying season kicks off. Especially considering that the Note 2 is now available on all major carriers here in the states.

Samsung notes (pun intended) that the device is outpacing its predecessor -- the original Note -- in sales at this point. In its previous sales release, CEO of Samsung Mobile JK Shin indicated a sales goal of 20 million units for the Note 2.

It's the best smartphone in the market! I got one... It's blazing FAST, 2 gig RAM, the software is SUPERB, it's beautiful and feels much better in hand than the Note 1 and the screen is the best in size now that it's slightly stretched up with 16:9 instead of almost 4:3 from the original.

I'm totally in love. It's almost a laptop!

I bought one Wednesday and I returned it today and exchanged it for an S3. The reasons:

1. The Note II was just too big to carry around

2. The screen was not as bright and sharp as the S3.

3. The text messenger UI was laggy. The S3 for some reason is not.

4. The Home Button was also laggy. The S3 did not have that problem.

5. The Email UI was doing funny things earlier today. Flashing and stuff. Not good.

Maybe in the future I will get a Galaxy Note 3 or 4 or 5. We'll see down the road.

You gave it just 2 days? Not enough time. I thouoght it was too big initially, but within a week you'd be used to it and the S3 would seem tiny in comparrison.

2. The screen was not as bright and sharp as the S3.

My Son has an S3, I have a Note 2, my screen is as bright and in fact clearer than his in everyway.

3. The text messenger UI was laggy. The S3 for some reason is not.

Absolutly no problem what-so-ever with the text message UI. Fast and flowing.

4. The Home Button was also laggy. The S3 did not have that problem.

Absolutly no problem what-so-ever with the Home button here.

5. The Email UI was doing funny things earlier today. Flashing and stuff. Not good.

Absolutly no problem what-so-ever with the email UI. Neither the Gmail app version nor the Samsung app version. Good.

I've had mine since October and I've had absolutly NONE of those problems you describe above.

    • Zen Browser 1.21.4b by Razvan Serea Zen Browser is a privacy-focused, open-source web browser built on Mozilla Firefox, offering users a secure and customizable browsing experience. It emphasizes privacy by blocking trackers, ads, and ensuring your data isn't collected. With Zen Mods, users can enhance their browser experience with various customization options, including features like split views and vertical tabs. The browser is designed for efficiency, providing fast browsing speeds and a lightweight interface. Zen Browser prioritizes user control over the browsing experience, offering a minimal yet powerful alternative to traditional web browsers while keeping your online activity private. Zen Browser’s DRM limitation Zen Browser currently lacks support for DRM-protected content, meaning streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are inaccessible. This is due to the absence of a Widevine license, which requires significant costs and is financially unfeasible for the developer. Additionally, applying for this license would require Zen to be part of a larger company, similar to Mozilla or Brave. Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. Zen Browser offers features that improve user experience, privacy, and customization: Privacy-Focused: Blocks trackers and minimizes data collection. Automatic Updates: Keeps the browser updated with security patches. Zen Mods: Customizable themes and layouts. Workspaces: Organize tabs into different workspaces. Compact Mode: Maximizes screen space by minimizing UI elements. Zen Glance: Quick website previews. Split Views: View multiple tabs in the same window. Sidebar: Access bookmarks and tools quickly. Vertical Tabs: Manage tabs vertically. Container Tabs: Separate browsing sessions. Fast Profile Switcher: Switch between profiles easily. Tab Folders: Organize tabs into folders. Customizable UI: Personalize browser interface. Security Features: Inherits Firefox’s robust security. Fast Performance: Lightweight and optimized for speed. Zen Mods Customization: Deep customization with mods. Quick Access: Easy access to favorite websites. Open Source: Built on Mozilla Firefox with community collaboration. Community-Driven: Active development and feedback from users. GitHub Repository: Contribute and review the source code. • I was using searxng for about a year , self hosted, but results were starting to timeout and eventually it became unusable so I switched to degoog. Much better for my needs, more polished and add-ons like maps and calculations etc

    • Hello, I am not as familiar with AMD CPUs as I am with Intel's, but as I understand it, that's a mid-range CPU from about three years ago.  I would think it to be fine for everyday casual-type use.  A larger SSD might be better, but with storage prices these days that's a decision that has to be carefully thought about.
