Sad to see what the US has become, since it was made of in the 17th century. US has gone to the crap house, and back again. Money makes the world go around. Until money is removed, hell even then. There is nothing you'll ever do to stop stuff like this. Something will always be of worth those these people. In order to really stop this crap, we will have to riot, civil war, or some other BS to actually get our country to go back to the way it was.

Well i don't think that riots will help, aggression is never the answer. In my opinion the easiest way is to simply stop cooperating with the government, that's it. What would happen if millions of people simply stopped obeying the restrictions? What could they do about it? They don't have the numbers to stop all of us ;)

He make some good points

I've been saying something like this for ages, politicians don't care about the people, the only thing they think about is how to keep filling their pockets on our backs

And we just keep taking it, all over the world

Only united we stand a chance to make a real change, sadly enough most of us are to lazy to do anything about it

Interesting read. I'm still going to recycle, though.

you know why I recycle? it's free for me to get rid of garbage... and I'm not talking about some tax sponsored community recycler... we have a local recycler that is non-profit self ran not a single dime of tax money spent to run them company, take 80% of my trash to them (yeah when you look into it that much can be recycled!) rest goes the old route, saves me hundreds a year on trash disposal

cost me nothing, the guy makes some money reselling the stuff to employ a few people, works out for both of us

That's the sad and devastating effect of Capitalism. The saying "money doesn't buy happiness" is absolutely false in this country. Money buys security and the feeling that you can "afford" to live another day. Have no money completely wrecks your life. The problem with revolting in this country is that it's almost impossible with such a huge population. It's easy for the small countries with people that have nothing to lose due to the government having taken everything. But here, people generally live happy lives, and the only way to take the government on would be to risk everything. Let alone tens of millions of people would have to band together.

The heart of the US is the stock market. If people revolt, the market will crash and all hell will break losoe and probably bringing the rest of the world down with us. So in the end, there's not much anybody can do. At best, we can vote somebody new into office every 4 years with hopes they can perform magic.

A takeover of Washington D.C. is the only solution I see working. These "occupy" protests aren't doing jack ****. I saw a video clip of a bunch of protesters on Wall Street, and on a balcony above them were some rich looking stock-workers in suits, and one guy points down at them, laughs, and talks to another lady as if he's saying, "Look darling, the peasants are revolting, HAHAHA!" Peaceful protests just aren't working any more because the government and the 1% of the country not hurting in this economy have figured out that all they have to do is ignore us. Throw all of the people currently employed in any position of government on their ass on the front lawn and put Joe citizen who works for less than $50,000 a year in their place, let somebody who has paid taxes and knows what it's like to be middle-class make a decision or two.

Well it doesn't matter anyway as I don't live in the US I live in Austria so how ???? ?? ? ???? everything ??? ????? is ????? ???? ???? fine ???? ??? ? ?????? love ????? ?????? ??? your ????? ???? government.

Well I wonder if occupying the US Capital will do anything since the forces behind the government are simply somewhere else? All I'm saying is, what happens when for example everyone would refuse to pay they're taxes? Or refuse to obey any law at all - in milions, what could they do? If people stopped policing themselves, because that's in fact what we are all doing? We can't step out of the line because we are our own police - very often. I'm not from the US, but all I remember about that country was the idea of liberty inscribed in it. I support the US people fightining for their freedoms because in the end - the whole world is being deceived and manouvered like the US. And what this group of interests wants is to suck out everything out of USA and ruin it.

I'm going to see if I can get any community strength from Fitocracy to knock Beachbody, LLC (P90X / Insanity vids) out from the list of supporters. Given that Fitocracy a fitness site with a decently growing community, would be nice if we can at least claim responsibility for shortening the list with one less name. Will maybe see if /fit/ would want to get involved too. :)

Edit: Hahahah, just got an unexpected level of support!

    • Opinion. All you did was blame Democrats for everything. You offered nothing but a hit piece to support your pro Trump, anti union right wing ideology.
    • Excuse me for having an opinion, fella'... (Why am I not surprised?...) Congrats on your very informative post however...
    • By the sounds of that wall of Fox News propaganda gibberish attacking the Democratic Party you've already had plenty of "juices" flowing this morning. You've ruined what could have been a productive comment thread.
    • (Topic to get the juices flowing this Sunday morning!...) Actually, the situation has almost nothing to do with "lack of skills", especially since assembly-line skills can be taught to anyone, including Americans, certainly. Rather, the inadequacy-to-impossibility of large-scale tech manufacturing in America today, and the reasons why America finds tech manufacturing completely onerous in the 21st century, has to do with politically driven laws amid a plethora of non-scientific, utterly politicized "science-fact" that is patently false, punitive business taxation at every turn, an array of judicial fines of unimaginable scope and complexity, and, last but not least, American unionization strictures that serve to actually slay job creation and hobble all such manufacturing endeavors in America before they can get off the ground. Globalism emerged, they tell us, as the needed answer to American hubris and an unholy American drive to excel. Unless one is buried under mounds of political propaganda, it's easy to see the absurdity of labeling the employees of SpaceX, for instance, as "unskilled labor"... Etc. ad infinitum. At one time in the recent past, American manufacturing prowess was the envy of the world in a wide variety of technical fields! The current federal and state government roadblocks against America becoming competitive globally in tech manufacturing are considerable, it's true, as anyone with a working brain knows. But remarkably, that is only half the story! The other half of the story is, of course, the corporations themselves... Chinese tech manufacturing is simply unassailable in terms of profits, because the Chinese government wants to see its tech manufacturing second-to-none globally so that no companies/nations can compete in terms of ROI, and China has completely succeeded in that goal. Let's tic-off a few things: *Chinese tariff policies are set according to what is considered best for Chinese business, Chinese employees, and the Chinese people. Huge difference with how things are done with tariffs in the US--as the US government (SCOTUS in this case, Congress in others) plainly feels that tariffs are "unfair" for the limited number of citizens who may pay them, whereas nothing is "unfair" when Congress considers the Personal Income Tax rates to be infinitely hike-able, along with infinitely enlarging annual budget deficits. *The Chinese government boldly subsidizes Chinese companies to artificially amplify their profits. *The Chinese government deliberately refuses to avidly demonize Chinese businesses and does not consider Chinese businesses "the enemy", so very unlike American (D)s these days. *Chinese labor laws and businesses are allowed to set their own labor policies according to what Chinese companies consider is best for companies and their employees... Simply put, American workers in tech manufacturing are not allowed to set their own labor policies! * One additional problem corporations have that I also do not sympathize with is they don't want to pay to train their American employees. They could easily do so, but would rather not have to pay for it. I find that pathetic, actually. It is the height of hypocrisy for Americans to decry working conditions in China while simultaneously ensuring that American products are manufactured in China, not in the US, simply to maximize profits. There is nothing wrong with making a profit, of course, absolutely nothing. But there is plenty wrong with attempts to normalize hypocrisy of this kind! But rank hypocrisy and the (D) party in the US are longtime bedfellows... The current government in Washington is working overtime to see if it can toss out the horribly poor, failed economic policies of the past, while the (D)s still in Washington work very hard to bring back the stupidity whenever possible. With the right policies in place, America can be an infinitely competitive manufacturer.
