What is the scariest movie you've watched?

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

As the title says, what is the scariest movie you've watched and tell us why you were scared to death. :D

And here I will start:

I have watched a movie but I can't remember the name, and gosh that movie scared the stuff out of me. lol .. The movie is about Djin, a group of students are calling a spirit and it turns out they're calling a dark spirit and it turns on them and kills them one by one. Have anyone watched it? IF you remember the name I would be very greatful.

We were 4 males and we turned off the lamps, curtains were down, and everywhere were DARK and then omg, this scene came and gosh one of us started screaming and then we all started screaming and omg, we still laugh our asses off when we remember that moment.

Note: If this has been already posted, just give me the name of this movie if someone knows, and I'd be happy and thankful. :)

Wouldn't be one of the Wishmater movies would it? Kinda sorta sounds like it. (3? I forget, been ages.)

Probably seeing the original Alien in the theaters for me. But I was literally a little girl at the time who was snuck in by an older relative.. so cut me some slack :D Nothing has made me jump since like that one did.

You gotta see this movie I am talking about, in the dark and see if you get scared or not. :woot:

Every time a topic like this comes up I always say [REC] and [REC]2. Both brilliant horror films, I watched both on my lonesome and they had me jumping.

Recently watched Paranormal Activity 2 and that was quite good too.

Evil Dead... ;)

I haven't actually seen any of the movies you've mentioned, but I watched half an hour of Paranormal Activity and that was as you said good.

Evil Dead... ;)

Nope, that is not the one I am looking for. :(

I'm not usually bothered by scary movies but the first Ring was scary to me.

Same here, I was like 12-13 when it came out.

Rewatched it recently and as with most horrors these days just laughed my ass off :D

Pretty much gave up on horrors.

Honestly no movie that has claimed to be a scary/horror movie has never scared me at all even when i was younger i wasn't scared of horror movies.

I actually was so scared of some movies, but I quite watching horros movies long time ago. I just wanted to know the name of this movie I was talking about. :)

Paranormal Activity. Gimmick? Sure, though when I saw it I was in the mood and any film that manages to make hearing footsteps scary deserves applause.

Beyond that, I kinda feel I'm wandering into horror / psychological territory, on that front try Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

I thought Paranormal Entity was pretty good compared to Paranormal Activity movies but still wasn't that scary. I don't tend to get scared at movies but I did jump a few times at The Descent 1 & 2. Also thought that The Uninvited was a very good horror because it was pretty clever and had a fantastic twist plus it stayed away for the complete gore shows that most "horrors" of recent years have turned out to be.

Could the movie you're looking for be Long Time Dead?

OMG! YEEEEEEEEEEEES! This is the one I was looking for. This is the movie that really scared the **** outta me back then.

Thanks man!

The Shining, original and in the theater when my parents took us along as kids. Just wow.

I have to agree with others though, in my book The Thing is probably just as freaky as The Shining...ugh I don't know they are the only two that have freaked me out.

Oh, and the original Jaws in the theater back in the day - saw it while on vacation somewhere and I remember not going into deep water (that I couldn't see the bottom of anyway) for YEARS after that. I still would rather let a surfboard get away from me than chase it out too far if we get separated. :)

The one movie that scared the **** out of me as a kid was: Stephen Kings "IT".

Man that clown was scary as hell.

Movies don't scare me, but The Ring and The Grudge did get the blood pumping a bit.

But after Scary movie 3 i just laugh my ass of when i see The Ring lol

    • I was using searxng for about a year , self hosted, but results were starting to timeout and eventually it became unusable so I switched to degoog. Much better for my needs, more polished and add-ons like maps and calculations etc

    • Hello, I am not as familiar with AMD CPUs as I am with Intel's, but as I understand it, that's a mid-range CPU from about three years ago.  I would think it to be fine for everyday casual-type use.  A larger SSD might be better, but with storage prices these days that's a decision that has to be carefully thought about. • Ocenaudio 3.19.5 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display. Ocenaudio 3.19.5 changelog: Fixes crashes related to audio devices on Windows (DirectSound and ASIO) Fixes several crashes and memory corruption issues Fixes opening several headerless files at once, which previously dropped all but one Improves batch export by suggesting and remembering the destination folder Fixes accented and non-Latin characters in VST plug-in and compressed-archive file names Adds zstd compression support and updates the archive library Other bug fixes and improvements Download: Ocenaudio 64-bit | Portable | ~40.0 MB (Freeware) Download: Ocenaudio for Linux and Mac OS View: Ocenaudio Homepage | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
