I wish they'd fix the text misaligned out of menu boundary on Gmail, SGI, Dell and other sites that use such menu. And that sites would update every time you visit them, especially when you first start the browser, now even if I set Check Documents/Images to Always, on start up I see cached page, ennoying. And what do we get? Ability to rename things... I mean aside from that Hotmail fix none of that stuff is any use.

...are these builds safe to install overtop of the existing Opera...

yeap, upgraded from v9.0 to v9.01 without problem. All seems to works fine for me with latest build. For me, only two application crashs (block content dialog) with v9.0 and v9.01... :)

Anyone notice how in build 8533, when my.opera.com/desktopteam is loaded, a Widget icon appears right beside the RSS icon? I swear it wasn't there before... :huh:

In any case, it downloads a mini RSS widget for that blog. Pretty nice.

Fixed bug where onload event wasn't sent to frames in some circumstances. Broke f.ex video on cnn.com.

More NTLM fixes.

Fixed some incorrect handling of cookies when loading pages setting/using cookies from feeds and email.

Fixed problem with authentication and only if modified checks.

Fixed missing space character in test for inline uuencoded content.

Fixed a bug where dragging config.xml into 0pera does not open the widget.

Made sure Flash that was bundled with Opera 8 is kept when upgrading to Opera 9.

More stability work.

Just installed, do you guys do a clean install? or an 'upgrade'? I did a clean install because it I wasn't sure. Also is this build faster? It feels a little faster, but could just be the placebo effect.

Two latest builds are really faster. :yes:

Upgrade --> Official 9.01 to Official 9.02 to Official 9.03 to ... ... ... ...

Clean Install --> Official 8.54 to Official 9.0x

Upgrade or Clean Install --> Weekly build 9.01 to Weekly build 9.01

Clean Install --> Weekly build 9.01 to Official 9.02

      Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.

      You are mostly right about the ephemeral nature of it. As I mention in the article, if you dont add a second device or take a backup of your account before uninstalling it, then yes you will lose access to your account. That said, in terms of actual user experience when you sync multiple devices your message history carries across and there's also a Saved Messages chat like there is on Telegram to send messages and attachments between your installs. But yh, what you point out are correct and its not trying to emulate Messenger or Telegram.
