Should I buy Guns of Icarus Online?

As some of you may know Guns of Icarus is 50% off right now. And my question I've been asking myself since the beginning of this promotion is: Should I buy it?

Do any of you have experience with it? Is it fun? Can I jump in with randoms or do I need to organise 3 friends at any given time to get any enjoyment out of this game? The TotalBiscuit play through with AngryJoe has really made me interested, and although it's only $10, I figured I'd ask for advice from here first.

My wallet is in your hands! (Well $10 of it, maybe $20 if I need to buy a 4-pack). :p
