BLEEDTHROUGH  01:14

Here's a nice little write-up I stole from the nine inch nails forum at digital noise, as typed up by aronmorris.

...In the upcoming issue of Alternative Press Magazine (the 25 most anticipated artists of 2004) which hits stands the first week of December, one of the artists/albums covered is NIN. The report states the overall vibe and sound of the record and lists some of the people that are involved in the production such as Rick Rubin, Atticus Ross, and Leo Herrera. The official album title is "BLEEDTHROUGH."

There are three song titles also mentioned. Another point worth noting is that Trent is quoted as saying that he is fed up with the perfected quality of computer-produced music (specifically the use of ProTools software) and that this record was done with alternate methods. There is no specific release date mentioned.

Some people called bull**** on this, but it's been pointed out by several others that bleedthrough.net has been registered to Nothing since May of this year.

*update*

The song titles listed in the article are "MY DEAD FRIEND," "EVERYDAY IS EXACTLY THE SAME," and "THE LINE BEGINS TO BLUR." Subscribers to Alternative Press will receive this issue next week, and the issue should be on newstands the following week.

In addition, several people have written in to note that amongst the LeGuin quotes that appeared on July 4th (before the background colors, well, bled through) was this:

III. Time and causality paradoxes:

- retro-psychokinesis, or turning causality on its head

- precognition versus remote viewing "bleed-through": what does it tell us about the nature of time?

- the transactional interpretation and other "solutions" to the quantum puzzle

- Barbour, Deutch and the vision of a frozen masterpiece: if time is illusory, what is the meaning of action?

As usual, we'll post more news as it comes in, and do our best to keep the illegitimate stuff out. In the meantime, conjecture is flying in the forums at Echoing the Sound and Digital Noise, not to mention Burning Souls. Meanwhile, at Perfect Isolation, sarcasm, as usual, is being flung faster than feces in a monkey cage. (thx tpd)

P.S. Vote for us at the Internet Music Awards. Thx.

I CANT WAIT!!!

why all of a sudden is he against protools??

yeah, I noticed that too, maybe with "another methods" he means another sofware :D

Still I cannot wait, Reznor is a musical genius

"The record explores loss and possible discovery of self," says Trent Reznor about the follow-up to 1999's The Fragile

Recovery? Reznor is going to talk about recovery? that will be very interesting

    • low latency mode is still bugged and causing bootup times slow to a crawl. To fix, you have to disable the feature with vivetool. Seems as though it's not rolled out to a lot of people yet since I've only been able to find only a handful of people that are having issues.
    • I would recommend the Nothing 2a. The battery life is awesome, 2 or 3 days without going into battery power mode. The only thing that I've been looking into recently is that it doesn't "support" Graphene OS. I'm pretty sure there is a way, I just need to do some more looking.
    • You'd have to show me an example of a listing that says Gen 1, usually i'd expect that to mean Snapdragon Gen 1 (a type of chipset, which the Pixels don't use). Pixel 7 - White - 128gb - Unlocked - 85%+ battery - Grade B+ - $159 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/398046617206 Pixel 7 - Obsidian - 128gb - Unlocked - 80%+ battery - Very Good - $157 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/355617734563 Both look to be sold by companies with good feedback, dealing with refurbished phones and state the phones are unlocked with a clean IMEI. Obviously I can't vouch for either company though, but the listings look good in my opinion.
    • Because Chrome is doing it. And no one said anyone had to update immediately. That's silly. They could update every day for all I care as long as it's fast, and the next time the browser restarts, you're good. And the basic point is not to tee it up for bigger updates. As it is right now, all the windows I had open reopen anyway except inprivate.
    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
