thechronic
I require software that will allow me to see the following: Websites Visited Search Engine Queries The software must be tamper-proof (settings cannot be changed). The software doesn't need to be hidden as the users will be aware of it's presence. I don't need to monitor keystrokes, take screenshots or obtain passwords. Any suggestions are welcome! kBWarrior
Sounds like you want a keylogger installed at the users terminal. lol. Did you check out OpenDNS or Barracuda's Web Filter hardware? You'll definitely be able to get breakdown reporting on which machine visited which website. Never checked on search engine queries, was never asked. I'd be interested to know if either solution can do it though.
+Fulcrum Subscriber¹ Posted May 5, 2015 Subscriber¹ Share Posted May 5, 2015 I can think of a couple options: 1. You can force users to use a proxy, which then you can view all connections they make. Ofcourse, they can spoof it with a vpn or their own proxy if they're slick. 2. You may try Chrome for IT Managers, and then prevent them from deleting their browser history. sc302 Veteran Posted May 5, 2015 Veteran Share Posted May 5, 2015 blue coat web filter, barracuda web filter, k9 webfilter (this gets installed on the local computer). None of these the user can tamper with as the webfilters are an in between, and the k9 is pretty locked down (there are ways around but it isn't the easiest to get around providing that the users aren't tech savvy or have boot usb's or boot disks at their disposal...you could always disable boot to other devices in the bios and lock the bios down, then they would need to take apart the computer to get to be able to boot). there are also free webfilters like squidguard and untangle.
