Streaming audio from pc through pocket pc

I would like to stream mp3s through my pocket pc from my pc which is conected to a linksys wireless router. My plan is to connect the pocket pc ipaq 5550 to my house stereo and listen to mp3s that are on my computer. Tried remote desktop but that does not work since mp3s must be converted when transferred to the pocket pc. Any ideas? This has to be possible.

a ppc comes with windows media player, so just install windows media encoder and stream away

do what I do.. have a playlist sitting on the root of a shared drive and open that playlist from the ppc, better than shoutcast and you can choose the songs you want and stuff. I use conduits pocket player, good investment
