I am admin on Softpedia and i know that the version posted by King Mustard is old.
The best p2p is BitTorrent

Bittorrent is P2P but not in the same way as Kazaa or Bearshare. I'm not sure what's best these days, I still use Bearshare for some reason.

I just use eMule and BT. Sometimes I fire up Kazaa Lite for old times sake but I rarely find anything worth getting. AresLite is decent too.

Some points...
1) I posted this version as I use BearShare everyday, and I opened it today and a message popped up saying it'd been released. 2) I have never found a place to download single MP3 torrents, and even if there are websites, chances are they'll be only the brand new albums. 3) BearShare downloads extremely quickly, and I haven't found many fake files at all. 4) BearShare does come with Adware, but Ad-Aware completely removes all traces of the stuff BS installs. 5) KaZaA Lite hasn't worked for my mates or myself for months now and even when it does connect, there usually isn't many files and those that exist take a long time to download. Finally, does anyone know a fast mirror to download BearShare 4.6.2 or preferably BearShare 4.7.0 BETA 47? Cheers! |
