todd
I got a $200 stereo for christmas, but it had noticable static, so I returned it and got a cash refund. I started looking around and found this: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...%5Fid=31%2D5039 Just wondering what people think about getting this. How's the sound quality? Are there better ones for around $200?
theprotege
if you have a small room, sony's home theater in a box is a good choice ... if you have a large room (greater than 20ft x 20ft) then you need to look at something a little bigger i had a sony AV unit for about 2 years in a 14x14 room and it was ok ... gave it to my parents who have a 12x12 room and it was perfect for them (they didn't have to turn it up too loud to hear everything)
todd
Yes, it's a small room (12x12), but my main concerns are: A) Sound quality: I want to hear audio, not static.. can you comment on this? B) Features: can I connect my cable line to it and use it to control my TV? how about a computer?
bangbang023 Veteran Posted January 14, 2005 Veteran Share Posted January 14, 2005 It's a decent unit, nothing too spectucular. Sony speakers, for their HTIB's, often have this echo effect to them though which is a little annoying.
psybapunk
I just bought those sony's. not too big of a room, about 12x12 and haven't placed the speakers right where I want them yet, but it sounds extremely decent. they're like $169 at wal-mart btw.
