Does anyone know if there is an anti-wristband wristband? Or a place where I could make my own custom wristband? I'm referring to the oh-so-trendy "charity" wristbands. No flaming please. I'm all for charity, but kids at school buy them in large quanities and resell them for profit

I hate these "trendy" wrist bands, they are only bought so people can look cool and have nothing to do with the charity .
If you want to give to charity set up a direct debit directly with the charity of your choice dont wear a stupid wristband |

I see the point for donating and all for the wristbands, but do you really have to wear it everyday? One day is enough. And everyday you see theres a new type of "band" selling. I walk into 7-11 and I see one for the tsunami relief. They did all that donating on TV, isnt that enough money. Damn they should make a anti-wirstband. Make it red with some bright ass writing so people know when they see it, they against them tendy mofos.

QUOTE(GreenDayPunk74 @ Mar 13 2005, 22:53) Make it red with some bright ass writing so people know when they see it, they against them tendy mofos. The irony in that is those people would become equally 'trendy mofos' as you so bluntly put it. Trendy or not, the bands (particularly the LiveStrong ones) have been highly succesful in raising money and rallying support behing their cause. |

i agree that the trend thing is stupid, but so are most trends. but in order for them to get the wristbands they have to buy it from the charity guys.
so charity wins in the end |
