You get charged because you received an incoming message, but the person who did through msn doesn't. That is unless they've changed it sometime within the last 6 months

rogers has 2500 free reience per month. fido you get charged *if from an online source., otherwise from someones handset, its free.

Here is the official word. I'm on a Fido monthly package.

Sign up for MSN Mobile using "Rogers" as your carrier. Enter your number. It will still work. Now, you can receive free MSN messages from others messaging you through MSN. If you select Fido instead of Rogers, it will charge you for every message received.

Also, under any circumstance, you cannot reply to the messages: you can only do that if your monthly plan is with Rogers.

Our records indicate that you have an existing MSN Mobile account with your Rogers Wireless mobile phone at http://mobile.msn.com.
