Microsoft offers free condoms to promote WLM

Recommended Posts

...yes, it seems Microsoft understands what Australian University students would like in return for installation of Windows Live Messenger. Today at the University of New South Wales (one of Australia's largest and prestigious universities) in Sydney, Microsoft staged a promotional day called 'Share the Love' at UNSW's University Bar. Included among the festivities, was a free 'Share the Love' pack given to all attendees to our much used Bar. Other than the much useless numerous WLM postcards in the package, was a free Durex Condom, a la 'Share the Love'.

I worked for a medical website in the early 2000s, and we targeted medical students at one point to boost our forum numbers. Our marketing guy was looking at getting some branded condoms to distribute...

Until I pointed out that if one splits, it would not look good for us - to have our brand associated with a split condom!

Of course you know Microsoft are only doing this because Mr Gates got a bulk delivery sent to his house, before he discovered he had no use for them and had to give them away.

Thinking about it, a condon must really be the most unused Microsoft gift ;)

Microsoft's trackercord for security doesnt bode well for that,,, condoms + Microsoft = condom's with holes

Yeah but be patient, wait 18 months and they'll release a patch for it :p

But by that time, it may be too late and all your kids are belong to them :(

Microsoft + Condoms = Guaranteed Pregnancy

Well, hes got all that money, he has to spend it somehow ;)

Hmm....what shall I spent a million on today...I know, condoms! Lots and lots of condoms!

*Condoms arrive*

Hmm....what a waste...I'll send them to Australia!

I thought that. Not to mention that law suits if their partner gets pregnant after their product splits.

can they file a law suit, most people know it's not a 100% guarentee that you will not fall pregnant... and does it not say on the package that condoms are not guarenteed to work?? i've never really used them so i don't know.

Microsoft update KB69000000

This update prevents a known flaw in which a sperm cell can gain unwanted access to the reproductive system. After installation, you will know not to buy MS condoms again.
