Originally posted by AviramOpera is known as the fastest and smallest full-featured browser, a first choice for people using older PCs and Windows 95 and a brilliant alternative to the default IE from Microsoft. This new version has a chance to actually beat IE hands-down because it has a truckload of new and exciting features. It complies to all the current web-page standards, it has a completely new interface (you can choose from single window and multi-window view), built-in search, a download manager, an advanced mail/news reader, print preview, a huge bookmark collection and much more in a 2Mb free package! Well, the free package also includes banner ads, but Opera is believed to be completely free of spyware, unlike some of its competitors. It’s lightning fast as well as stable and it looks gorgeous. It’s simply perfect! For a complete list of features check out the official website, there’s vastly more to discover. Changelog: Quote - • Hotmail localization fixed • Save image as doesn't put it in transfers anymore • Last used search engine is now remembered • Using namespace in widgets now works • Find in page with same search word on newly loaded pages now works • Search engines now can't be added without a keyword • Newsfeeds can now be renamed • Multiple stablity fixes Download Opera 9.01 Weekly Build 8509

I wish they'd fix the text misaligned out of menu boundary on Gmail, SGI, Dell and other sites that use such menu. And that sites would update every time you visit them, especially when you first start the browser, now even if I set Check Documents/Images to Always, on start up I see cached page, ennoying. And what do we get? Ability to rename things... I mean aside from that Hotmail fix none of that stuff is any use.

Another one is out, and I think it's about time this thread gets a convenient link to their build page too http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/With the minimal focus on features and everything about bug fixing and stability, 9.01 looks to end up like a really good version.

Now that fixes actually becoming serious, are these builds safe to install overtop of the existing Opera, or do I have to put it into a different folder, or uninstall 9.0final and put this instead?

yeap, upgraded from v9.0 to v9.01 without problem. All seems to works fine for me with latest build. For me, only two application crashs (block content dialog) with v9.0 and v9.01...

Anyone notice how in build 8533, when my.opera.com/desktopteam is loaded, a Widget icon appears right beside the RSS icon? I swear it wasn't there before... In any case, it downloads a mini RSS widget for that blog. Pretty nice.
