Tried it a few nights back, awesome quality, played files I couldn't even get to work in MPC. Options wise it gets kind of overwhelming, I've been reading up on some video quality stuff just to see what I can change to make it look better, but it looks pretty good as it is. No ads or spyware either.

Became my default player after watching 1 video.

Well I ended up trying it because I had a 720p video file (H.624 & AAC) that I couldn't get to play in WMP (no surprise) or Quicktime, so I opened up MPC and it gave me a codec error and wouldn't play anything but sound, tried VLC and it did the same, but gave me a white screen, tried this, and it worked perfect.

This is the only really troublesome video I've tried, but I seems like a great product to me (mind you they have a spelling error on their website). Worth a try at least.

for me seems like VLC but lite version, anyway vlc is more than just player :)

Ive been trying it for some time now....and im enjoying it, no problems so far.

Maybe i found me a MPC/VLC/Subedit replacement....have to test it for few more day tho.

I have minor problems with DVD playback.

Hmmm. I downloaded a 720p QT movie trailer and it says it can't find the codec to play it. The funny thing is, I have Quicktime installed (not alternative).

Woaw! That's an amazing player!! Many codecs supported, I'm very surprised. Good quality, subtitles, all, all is inside... That's prety cool! A lot's of options, I think Gom Player will be a great application. We must supervise it. :)

Only thing i hate bout VLC is the crappy seek method built in. But that is because of the code its built on. They said they are working on a new way hopefully it will be out soon.

Yes. :yes: In Korea, the market share of GOM player rivals that of WMP. I've been using it for years and it's surely my favorite media player ever.

it's almost better because you have a segment bar in full screen mode. I'm forgetting about the codecs if it was already in there though but I assume they are.

Seems decent so far, had an issue with .mp4 codecs though and opened up IE7+ instead of Maxthon2 which I have set as default.

After fooling around wit it it looks pretty nice

Navigation is smooth, hotkeys are slick. looks visually appealing. It remembers ASPECT RATIO. I may atlast drop VLC..
